Starting this past Monday, www.prepcentralonline.com has a new look and feel. The website, which was launched in September 2007, covers high school sports throughout Northwest Georgia.

The new site has a new url, www.northwestgeorgia.com/prep_central, but retains the same coverage of the current website. Every sport has it's own page as does every local high school. Articles, photos, slideshows, videos and more are all available on the site.

One key change for the site comes in posting comments to stories. In the past, readers had to register and create usernames to comment but now readers can use their Facebook profiles to comment.

Over the past five years, prepcentralonline.com has received numerous awards for website and multimedia excellence, including honors from the Associated Press, Georgia Press Association, Inland Press Association, Editor and Publisher and the NATAS Southeast Emmys.

The site will also remain the home for Gridiron Central, the Emmy nominated high school football show which just finished its sixth season.

By midweek, links to the old site will redirect to the new site destination.
