On Aug. 3, the Indy International Wine Competition awarded Georgia Winery with bronze, silver and gold medals in the French-American Rosé and Naturally Flavored categories.

Georgia Winery’s Chattanooga Blush wore home a gold medal from the FrenchAmerican Blush Rosé category. This blend of Cayuga white, Niagara and Concord is the winery’s second best seller. Southern Sangria, a crisp blend of muscadine, blueberries and blackberries, took home a silver medal in the Naturally Flavored category. Lemon Drop brought home a bronze medal in the Naturally Flavored category, making it the first award received by this white muscadine wine blended with natural lemon flavoring.

Indy International Wine Competition is the world’s most leading and prestigious wine competition in the world, according to a media release from the Georgia Winery. With nearly 3,000 entries from 40 U.S. states and 15 countries ranging from Australia to France to Ethiopia, awards and medals are highly regarded by wine consumers and wine writers. A panel of 72 judges from the U.S. and Canada traveled to Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., to make up 16 different judging panels based on appearance, taste and aftertaste.
