For the seventh running year Georgia Winery is holding the annual wine making competition. Wines vary from sweet to dry, from tomato to pumpkin wines. This is an exciting event when amateur wine makers in the area get a chance to show off their winemaking skills. Entries are submitted and divided into different categories based on the type of wine. Winners are awarded in January.
Entries are accepted Oct. 1 through Dec. 31. Only homemade wines by amateurs (non-commercial) are accepted. There is no limit to the number of entries. Entry fees are $15 for first entry and $5 for each additional entry.
Wine must be brought to the winery with the entry form and fees. Awards banquet will be held in January. Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category. One ‘Best of Show’ will be given to the grand winner overall.
