COMMUNITY · The Walker County Chamber of Commerce will host the 2012 Membership Appreciation Day with a theme of “All-American: Olympic Gold” at noon Friday, Sept. 14, at the Walker County Agricultural Center in Rock Spring. ENTERTAINMENT · Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. for The Black Jacket Symphony’s production of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours.” The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2013, at the Tivoli Theatre, 709 Broad Street, in Chattanooga. ENTERTAINMENT · Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga (ETC) will perform Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” weekends beginning Friday, Sept. 14-Sunday, Sept. 30. COMMUNITY · Tryouts will be held in LaFayette for an all-female football team. The North Georgia Thrashers are a new women’s football team trying to gain approval into the Women’s Football Alliance. All tryouts are at LaFayette High School at 10 a.m. every Saturday in September and the first two Saturdays in October. The team is accepting women of all shapes and sizes and ages 18 and older. COMMUNITY · Waterville Baptist Youth will host a Fishing and Corn Maze Benefit from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Thomas Dairy Farm on Halls Valley Drive in Trion.
