Freedom Walk to be held Sept. 11 in East Ridge; former LaFayette resident to speak

Former LaFayette resident and former Vice Chief of Staff, Army (Ret.) Gen. Ron Griffith, will speak at a remembrance ceremony to be held Sunday, Sept. 11.

The ceremony will be held at Camp Jordan Park in East Ridge, Tenn. The program begins at 1 p.m. JROTC personnel from north Georgia, Hamilton County and UTC will be present.

All elected officials, veterans and citizens are invited to attend.

There will be a Freedom March after the speech.
