First Volunteer Bank recently hired Robyn L. Thomas as senior vice president and commercial relationship manager in the Chattanooga and north Georgia area.

“Robyn is a well known, seasoned banker in this market and a great addition to our team of relationship managers,” said Ron Jones, executive vice president of commercial banking for First Volunteer. “Her extensive experience and attention to her clients’ needs make her a perfect fit with our bank. Robyn’s addition further enhances our commitment to the Chattanooga and north Georgia markets.”

Her 26 years of banking experience include implementing a new wealth management department for a community bank, serving as director of private client services, as well as executive vice president and commercial bank president. She has worked at Bank of America, AmSouth Bank (now Regions Bank) and, most recently, FSG.

She is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in international business and has been active in various community organizations, including the American Heart Association and United Way and was a founding trustee of Graceworks Church.

When she is not taking care of her customers, she breeds straight Egyptian Arabian horses and Akita dogs and loves photography.

First Volunteer Bank is a $873 million financial institution with 24 branch offices in Tennessee and northwest Georgia. First Volunteer operates five branch offices in Chattanooga and three in northwest Georgia.
