Ashley Brooke Welter and David Luke Hudson will wed Oct. 6 at 5 p.m. at The Home Place in Calhoun, Ga.

She is the daughter of Phil and Cheryl Welter and the sister of Heather Bruce, all of Chickamauga. She is the granddaughter of Alfred and Sue Hinkle of Chickamauga and the late Harold and Joyce Welter of Chattanooga.

A 2007 graduate of Gordon Lee High School, she earned a degree in practical nursing from Georgia Northwestern Technical College and is pursuing an associate’s degree in nursing.

She works as an LPN at Associates in Women’s Health in Ringgold. She is a member of The Vine Church of God in Chickamauga.

He is the son of David and Cindy Hudson, the sister of Kelli Payne and the grandson of John Arnold, Sr., all of Rock Spring. He is also the grandson of Linda Knight of East Brainerd, Tenn., Mary Hudson of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and the late Richard Hudson.

A 2008 graduate of Gordon Lee High School, he attended the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee program to pursue a career as a union electrician. He works as an electrician at Adman Electric Co. in Chattanooga.

He is a member of Center Grove Baptist Church in Rock Spring.
