With the horrible killing of several who were in a movie theater in Colorado, those intent to do away with our Constitution have a newfound cause for gun control. This has been at the top of their agenda for many years; they just need a new fresh topic to talk about.

Let’s look at those countries that still allow their citizens to own guns. Switzerland does not have a constitutional guarantee that its citizens can own firearms. They could lose this freedom to own guns overnight. Yemen’s citizens have the second highest number of guns, just behind the U.S. Mexico’s citizens do have some rights to own guns, but with the corruption in the country, it’s most likely up to the governing head of each city as to whether he allows you to have a gun or not.

The list is short, and you can go to the internet and read in detail for yourself the information on each country.

Why do so many countries keep their citizens from owning guns?

There is a simple answer to this question. The countries that do not allow their citizens to own guns can quite simply control their citizens. If they have no means to protect themselves, the governing body, which is armed, can do whatever it pleases, and you have no means to stop a corrupt, governing body.

I do not want to look at a list of countries that do not allow their citizens to own guns and see the U.S. on this list.

I am sure that many would say, “How do we keep our citizens safe and keep our rights under the U.S. Constitution to own and have access to guns?”

I would take you back in time and look at all of the rights that have been taken away by the very few in our country. Remember when prayer in our schools was taken away? The Ten Commandments are being taken down all over the country. I could go on for several pages and never cover all of the changes in our country in order to please one person whose feelings have been “hurt.” It has become a place, in our country, where evil is good and good is evil. Honor has no meaning anymore to many in our society. I think it’s time to put back the Ten Commandments and practice its principles.

I just don’t think that the new way of living in this country is working. If it feels good, do it. Those of us who still stand for Christian ethics are going to have to stay strong in the coming years; the battle ahead looks tough.

Let us all pray for our country to return to Christ.
