Colbaugh studied journalism at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn. She graduated in 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
Colbaugh wrote for the LaFollette Press in northeast Tennessee for five years. While at the Press she earned multiple state and regional awards for writing and photography. A first-place award for photography from the Ten-nessee Press Association is among her greatest accomplishments.
In the summer of 2012 Colbaugh and her husband moved to Ringgold with their two children.
"I am very excited to work for the Catoosa News and I look forward to meeting the people in this community," Colbaugh said.
When Colbaugh is not sitting at her desk she is spending time with her family or decorating her new home. In the spring, Colbaugh hopes to plant a vegetable garden.
