For the second time in two weeks, the Georgia Northwestern Bobcats faced off with the Blue Storm of Macon State on Tuesday night, this time on the road in Macon.

GNTC won the first meeting in Rossville, 69-65, but the Blue Storm would even up the series with a 76-73 victory.

The Bobcats (7-16, 0-6) got their first lead of the game as the first-half buzzer sounded. Freshman center Jordan Robinson's 70-foot shot off the glass banked in to give the visitors a 40-38 lead.

The lead would change hands several times in the second half, but the Blue Storm would eventually go up by 10. Alex Miller spurred a comeback with 23 points and 16 rebounds, but it would not be enough as the Bobcats dropped the road contest.

Trion native Hunter Ivester would add 15 points and three blocked shots, while freshman Richard Olsen dropped in 17 points in the loss.

GNTC will travel to LaGrange on Friday to face West Georgia Tech, hoping to avenge a Jan. 15 loss to the Golden Knights in Rome.

The Lady Bobcats will face West Georgia Tech in the opener that evening with the winner gaining the inside track on the No. 1 seed for the NJCAA Region XVII post-season tournament’s top seed. The tournament will be played in Warner-Robins Feb. 22-24 at Middle Georgia Tech.
